APAC SWFs - how to get in, prestige, exit opps
Would appreciate if anyone with insights can spill the beans on:
What are the chances as a non-citizen? What's the best way to get your foot in (referrals? headhunters? - if the latter, any recommendations?) Pay vs sellside? Exit opps? Stability? Career development opps?
Best types of roles in these organizations? - investment strategy/asset allocation function or the direct investing streams (PE, private/public markets, etc)

Problem you will always face is that total comp is just horrid compared to private players. You are essentially working for a government and comp is just lightyears away what PE/HFs pay. Another issue is that no matter how well you perform, comp is capped and not really tied to your performance. So what’s the incentive after all?
