Application via email - what to write

Hi everyone,

I saw an HR lady working for a big bank just posted an IBD job on LinkedIn and asked applicants to send CV and cover letter to her work email directly to apply. Was wondering what I should write in the email body given the attached cover letter?

Appreciate any insights.

I would keep it simple: "Hello HR Lady, my name is Whatever and I am whatever. I saw your post on LinkedIn and I am interested in the [specific name] role. As requested, please find attached my CV and Cover Letter. Please let me know if you need anything else from me, I am excited about the potential opportunity."

I wouldn't rehash the attachments, I'd be surprised if she read anything before forwarding along. A nice, professional email probably gets the job done.
