Are all analyst asshole ?

Today it was the virtual finance day of my school so I took appointments with some M&A analyst to get to know more about their job (at least that's what I thought) and got humiliated by everyone of them.

The first I met said that I was wasting his time, as he was looking for students interning in Jan 21 and not July 21 (How the fuck would I know that) and that my concerns were way too prematured

The second interviewed me right away with technicals questions I wasn't able to answer, as I was coming only to know more about their duties and not to get an internship

The third one saw my resume and told me straight to go in audit and that I wouldn't find anything in M&A

Is it usual for analyst to behave like that with students, are they all as arrogant or did I just been unlucky ? I didn't get any advice from them, still don't know anything about their position nor their companies culture

Sound like you either 1) just got unlucky - in which case there's nothing to do but move on, 2) you grossly misunderstood the point of the virtual sessions, or 3) didn't come across as serious or professional. Only reason I'm pointing out #3 is your post is riddled with errors and if that's how you came across in those sessions, not a great look.
