Could we keep the racist undertones out of this? Thanks.

LOL the whole concept revolves around race. Parsing it out between minority vs URM is more useful. Illustrated difference: Indian families coming over and using family resources to own small businesses vs black people as former slaves with no generational wealth to draw from as well as overcoming an ingrained mindset of institutionalized servitude. Both are minorities, one is a URM.

As a demonstration of the function of combining equality of opportunity with utility, the minority will soon be white people....do you really think that caucasians are going to get minority protection status once that even horizon passes? Uhm, no. Its very much a function of if a population demographic is successful: consider how asian entrance test scores are weighted to higher scores...how is that fair, and why aren't Jewish people in that camp? Is that racist?

....and yeah, I'm just arguing to argue, stuck on a boring ass call xD

Really don't know how anything I said is anything but true. Indians and Chinese are a non-white minority. Tell me the logic of why they are biased against for admissions at schools and other places.

Plain fact is that there is no good reason.

Your statement implies that other races that qualify as URMs (Black, Hispanic/Latino, Native American) are not successful. Underrepresentation and success are not mutually exclusive. Public image of a race also does not accurately represent the level of success of that race. I believe URM status, as defined by many employers, is based upon public image of a race more than the actual level of success of a race. Something of a public relations construct. That's why I believe your broad statement was inappropriate.

Take a look at unemployment numbers, crime stats, college admission stats, etc. My statement is factual and unbiased. I am not making any claims related to genetics, I am simply stating that Indians and Chinese are minorities in this country by the definition of the word. But they don't need help getting into school, whereas other groups do.

I frankly could careless about affirmative action. As a white male it only fucks Indians and Chinese. I empathize with them, but not my battle. And AA really only helps well off African Africans. Just a bullshit, feel good policy that placates the masses while actually doing nothing.

And you could put 1,000 random Chinese and Indian families in the worst hell holes in this country and within 10 years you would have doctors and small businesses. I think a lot of it stems from the family unit and the preeminence of education. But whatever.

Not in the way most diversity programs mean it, although it probably can't hurt to apply. Minority in corporate America-ese means Black, Hispanic, American Indian, and sometimes LGBT, ie. groups typically under-represented in the work place. Unfair, I know...

See: http://www.top-law-schools.com/urm-applicant-faq.html

"American Indians/Alaskan Natives, African Americans/Blacks, Mexican Americans, and Puerto Ricans are typically considered URM’s."

I am still waiting for someone to explain to me how cells and DNA have a generational memory. My great grandfather could have been butt fucked by the Kaiser and it wouldn't cause me emotional anguish. We used the Chinese as slaves to build the railroads. Seems their DNA doesn't remember this injustice.

Indians, who weren't free until the 50's, who have a caste system where they are essentially are treated like slaves, come here and learn, work in gas stations and succeed in life.

I wish all service jobs were given to Indians. The job would be done great and politely and the money I spend at those stores would go to put some kid through medical school instead of being pissed away.

People who create their own success hurt the feelings of the people who want government hand outs. Can't have that.

I keep hoping for a change. It will happen in 2016. Thank the lord for Presidential term limits.
