Are LMM/MM Analysts the best at Modeling?

I heard this talked about a few times and wanted to try and get a discussion going on it. Theoretically, the analysts working on smaller companies are working with unaudited financials, messier models/book, and therefore become better at modeling than those at a BB/EB.

I’ve only know a couple analysts who have spent time at a boutique and a BB and he had said that his modeling tasks were much more complex at the boutique.

What do you think?
