Are salaries in non-M&A positions really bad?
How do salaries and bonuses in non-M&A areas like leveraged/acquisition finance or capital markets compare to M&A?
Is there a huge difference between the salaries?

I thought i was a fair question. How do salaries and bonuses compare across divisions? I mean I want to know if the job is 30k a year with no bonus and maxes out at 100k even if you're VP.
at the analyst level comp is fairly consistent regardless of group - bonuses between Traditional IB Groups (ex. industry groups, M&A groups) and ECM/DCM can vary sometimes - but even then not to a huge degree.
Can't speak to comp at the VP+ level.
