are tech associates underpaid?
I was sifting through the web and found the average computer science graduate salary to be a lot lower than an ACA or an investment analyst. I'm entering uni in September. Doing computer science from a VERY elite university, or getting a BBA from an average university - which would be a more profitable investment?
Computer science from an elite university is certainly superior. A BBA from an average university doesn't get most people very hard (you have to hustle to make it somewhere.)
Also, the parameters of your comparison explain why you reached your seemingly odd conclusions. If you compare ALL computer science majors to just investment analysts, yes of course the investment analysts will have a higher average salary because you are comparing one specific career path to a major in which people can take many different career paths. If you were to compare computer science and finance majors, however, you would end up with average salaries that are closer to one another.
