Are the Dockers D1's too casual for Business Casual?

It's an equity research internship at a BB if that changes anything. Are those acceptable or are they generally looking for something dressier?

 

They're certainly acceptable. I'd probably stick mostly to darker colors though I do know guys in ER at BBs who wear khakis.

Last summer for my SA I picked up a few pairs of Michael Kors dress pants at Century 21 (assuming you'll be in NY). They look really nice, fit well, and are around the same price as your Dockers but are far dressier. Please don't go spending over $100 on a pair of pants as an intern. It's depressing to see interns fall to such pressure re: fashion.
