Argus Enterprise (AE) Certification Exam Testing Experience + Related Questions
Hey there fellow primates,
I am planning on taking the Argus Enterprise Certification Exam soon and was wondering what the testing experience will be like. I know there are 75 general MCs and the case study with 15 MCs but what can you tell me beyond that? In particular, I was wondering:
1) Can you skip a question you don't know and return to it later or do you have to answer every question as it comes up?
2) Are the general MC's section and case study section distinctly separated or is the case study buried within the exam somewhere? (Curious about this one in terms of budgeting time, which is my next question)
3) How have people aimed at budgeting their time? Is it 50/50 between general MC's and case study or something else?
4) Is 2.5 hours really a time crunch?
5) Any topics you feel were covered more heavily?
6) Any other insights??
Thanks!

Hope that helps.
Just finished the certification (after one re-take).
(1) Yes, you can skip a question and return to it later. (2) Distinctly separated. First MC, then case study. But to the first question, you can return to a MC question even once your are on the case study section. (3) I didn't really budget carefully. Don't remember the exact time breakdown and would don't want to guess. (4) & (6) Important insight into the case study section: first you run the case study in your Argus software, then you answer the MC questions. You will be able to figure out if you made any mistakes if the MC answer options don't match your Argus results would recommend leaving a lot of time for this process of figuring out where you might have made mistakes. On my test, I had finished everything with about 45 minutes remaining, and spent the rest of the time trying to find a couple very small mistakes. But MC section only has 15 questions and since you need 70% to pass, a small mistake can cause you to lose multiple questions. (5) eLearnings did not sufficiently cover Valuation/Investment.
Thanks for the reply! Very helpful. And congrats on passing! Out of curiosity, was the case study at the end of your retake the same as the original exam or does it change?

Has anyone retaken the Argus Enterprise (AE) Certification Exam? Is the case study at the end the same or does it change?
