Argus Enterprise & Developer

Hi Everyone,

I own a small CRE Brokerage and Consulting Firm. I’ve been using my own spreadsheets and some CCIM resources to analysis Investments for our clients.

I started using The Analyst Pro, but it’s limited and underwhelming.

I’m looking for something more powerful and a place to store and build on portfolios.

For those that use these two solutions, what are your thoughts.

I’m also looking for cost segregation software, I thought Argus might have it, but the sales gal had no idea what I was talking about. Thanks in advance for your insight.

Thanks for your reply... I'm looking at Developer because it does feasibility studies. Basically, the salesperson stated it was the US version of Estate Master. She said that EstateMaster is used mainly in Canada. I need the feasibility studies and appraisals. Although I appraise with my own data, a second source would be helpful. Not sure if this is the case, and I'm supposed to have another conversation with sales today. I just want to make sure that I'm getting what I need.

I've seen some demo and attended a training for Developer many years ago. It is mainly built for homebuilding and lot sales, like seemed to built around the concept of "phases" and "unit sales". The commercial modules were weak at best. I asked if they would ever integrate Argus Enterprise into Developer or vice versa, but I don't think they ever did or bothered. Frankly, I've can't think of a single firm I've ever heard of using developer, not saying it doesn't exist, just not found in my travels. Enterprise however is gold standard for use beyond excel in the institutional world.
