Arrr the frame in old IE are driving me nuts

I use school computers, and they don't have the new IE on it. I know this topic has been discussed add noseum, but still I'd like to point it out again. It's a bit frustrating to have to keep hitting refresh so that the page displays properly.

Disjoint, I am really sorry about this but my web developer has done everything he can to make it as useable as possible in IE6 as he can. In Firefox the site works the best, but it also works well in IE 7.

There is unfortunately only 1 of him and 1 of me and we have about 20 other things we are working on to try and improve the site. You can't download IE 7 onto your school computers or put in a request to whomever runs them? IE6 is about 5 years old now and had a whole heap of problems displaying webpages properly - especially one with a 3 column layout with a fluid center and transparency png images. I really want to keep the fluid center because a lot of people browsing this site have larger / wider monitors and it allows them to read more on 1 screen 2) as people move to IE 7 and Firefox, this will not be an issue.

Microsoft was allowed to make crap browsers for so long because they had a monopoly on the market and only recently have they started to get into line -- only because of the release and subsequent popularity of Firefox which displays websites how they are actually designed. IE 6 has been a headache for web developers around the world (why almost all of them strongly recommend Firefox). You would think that in 2007, this wouldn't be an issue, but that is what an inefficient market generates = crap. Again, I wish we could figure out how to make IE 6 render and display properly - but it is not because of the lack of effort.

Unfortunately the site does not generate enough $ for me to hire a team of web developers and graphic designers to improve the performance in IE6, but I am not convinced that even if we could, it would solve the problems. My web developer is pretty knowledgeable on the issues with IE 6 since he has run into this 100s of times.
