Asian female thinking about getting a FO job in London

Hi monkeys,

I got tremendous help from WSO before and this is my first post.

I am a female grad student from Asia at London (LBS/LSE/IC), did undergrad in Asia, previous internship including BB IBD local firm and a local PE firm. I am thinking about getting a FO internship (hopefully leading to fulltime employment) at BB/boutique firms at London. But I found that there are really few previous cases of ppl with similar background.

I am wondering what I could do to break into FO at London.I am really driven and committed, Could you guys give me some suggestions, such as how to network and application strategy?

Thanks so much!

Unprivileged group? What does that mean? Not everyone is able to be sent across the world to attend a great university....I'm assuming there's a language barrier here.

Ps this is a very common question, particularly from LSE students. Use the search bar.

Was securing gainful employment not taken into account when you signed up for your Masters? Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you just signed up without any plan/objective or rationale behind doing so.

As @"Oreos" stated there are quite a few threads on this exact topic, you may find it beneficial to read them and the ones focused on resumes. Afterwards I'm sure you would find more beneficial advice if you post specific questions that haven't been asked ad nauseam or have outdated responses and what would amount to a final draft of your resume for final review/critique.
