Aspiring er monkey

Hi just wanted to ask the ER Analysts, when a student reaches out to you with a stock pitch or model, what are your first thoughts (without looking at the model) thus, re student and do you poke holes to see what’s up with the model?

Secondly, how do you communicate the fact that with the model it’s something you’ve done outside of college to show drive rather than some college assignment?

Thank you in advance.
