Asset Management Careers - Where to start?
Hello, first post here. I am an undergrad from a non-target, highly regarded liberal arts school. I am interested in a career in asset management (not quant) and am curious about opportunities straight out of college.
Questions:
How competitive is it to get jobs at GSAM/JPAM/Fidelity etc. straight out of undergrad compared to BB IB or IB in general?
How is the lifestyle of a first year in one of these firms? Hours? Salary? Bonus?
What other buy-side opportunities exist straight from undergrad?
How common is it to go BB AM -> PE?
Any insight helps, thanks!
