Asset management compensation in London?
Hi guys,
There seems to be a lot of information about investment banking compensation in London around but very little info about asset/investment management comp.
So can anybody provide any info about comp on the fundamental/long-only side as an equity/investment analyst.
For reference I have around 3 years experience at a long-only fund from a different country. How does comp scale as time goes on?
Thanks!

It's because it varies a tonne dependent on asset class, shop etc. It's not as structured as IB comp. I know that first-year research associates at cap group (which people usually get after about 3-4 years of SS ER/IB or an MBA) get about 80K base. But cap group is a premier institution. Wouldn't be surprised if many places pay less.
Thanks. Yeah I was referring to equities as an asset class. That's what I've heard - 80k is generally top of the range.
