Asset Manager Valuation / Middle Office
Hello All! I'd be interested in hearing from folks who work within the Controller's group inside Asset Management and private firms.
I currently work within portfolio valuation at a Big 4, and I'm considering making the switch from Big 4 (ie, the services side) to working in the valuations/Controller department inside of an asset management firm (ie, the client side).
Is there anyone in the valuation field that can share their experience? I've spent my career working only in the services side of valuation, so I'd love the insight into the client-side. How is the work life balance, compensation, growth opportunities and overall career fulfillment?
Thanks for the advice!
