At a crossroads, and fucked my self
Need advice. Rising senior at a top UG target, but I’m currently doing a corporate finance internship on the loan operations team at a large bank. I really don’t like my current internship or the culture at the firm so I want out for full time. I definitely want to be in a front office role post-grad.
I can’t help but feel as though it will be extremely difficult to find front-office roles that I’ll actually get considered for because of my lack of experience with client facing roles. I also am not in any investment clubs on campus due to personal reasons. I have a 3.7gpa and some other decent experiences on my resume, just nothing that directly ties to a front office role aside from the word ‘Loan’ in loan operations. I’m also dead-set on going to NYC
Could y’all please shed some light on how to go about recruiting for a front office role given I have a corporate finance internship that has little relevance to anything I would be doing in a front office role??
