Attending a Mostly International MSF as a Domestic Student?

Hi WSO,

I was wondering if anyone had some insights regarding career prospects for domestic students in a mostly international program, such as Rochester or Brandeis MSF. Has anyone attended a program like this and managed to land IB/FO offers? I know that they don't often place students in FO roles, but I was thinking that their placement data might be skewed by the 90%+ international presence on campus.

I'm thinking that being a native English speaker could be an advantage that'll could allow a domestic student to stand out more. However, it could be difficult to network with my peers if everyone's speaking Mandarin outside of the classroom. There's also the possibility that employers who don't wish to sponsor international candidates may tend to automatically filter out resumes from those who attend these types of programs.

Any input would be appreciated!
