Audax Group PE Vs The D.E. Shaw Group

Hey y'all - I'm deciding on my summer internship for next year (junior) and I'm currently between 2 options:

1) Audax Group Private Equity - Summer Analyst
2) The D.E. Shaw Group - Generalist Intern

I was wondering what you all thought? From what I've heard Audax has pretty bad hours, but is a pretty good pe shop especially out of undergrad and it seems like I'd learn more/pick up significant skills that would set me up for the future. D.E. Shaw seems like a great firm with solid pay and hours aren't so bad, but I'm not so sure about being in a non-investment position. I'm more hesitant about D.E. Shaw because there seems to be a lot of uncertainty with the generalist program i.e. I could be placed on corporate dev (their internal innovation team) or also human resources. I don't have any location preferences and have a background in startups (spent some time building out a venture-backed fintech startup). I feel like there would be a better culture fit with D.E. Shaw but that Audax would set me up better for the future in whatever I decide to ultimately pursue (*I also want to go to bschool).
