"For post-MBA, after how many years on average do most investment bankers leave the field? " If u come in as associate u can make VP in 3-4 years, 2 years if you are good. After 4 years if there is no track to VP most associate either coast, transfer groups or leave. That said everything now-a-days is changing. Of course you always get those random buy side switches or burnout/fedup associates
