Awkward Time for my Career

I have a question for those who have experience in IB's. Currently I'm in graduate school for my Masters in Finance, but my experience in the industry is basically non-existent. My undergrad degree is unrelated to Finance and my current work experience is loosely financial and that may even be a stretch.

I guess my question is, when is it TOO early to be applying for entry level positions in the industry? I live in Boston, I'd love something entry level with State Street, but I'm not sure what positions I could be considered for? I still have a year and a half to go before getting my Masters so I'm not sure if I'm jumping the gun here.

Any advice would be appreciated
