B-school, MSF advise HELP!
Hello everyone,
I know there are a lot of similar forums here already, can anyone give me some advices, really need some help.
I am an international student, this is my last term, studying in University of Oregon, major economic, GPA 3.0. I know my GPA is lower than average MSF student. (I got 2 terms lower than 2.0 and failed some classes such as Chinese fiction, etc. and it's in a growing trend, don't know if that gonna help)
The first attempt for GMAT is 650, definitely will try again in a month, aim at 700+.
So, i did some research, and interest in
WAKE FOREST MA,
JHU-MSF,
USC-MSF,
U Michigan- MIM,
U Maryland-MSF,
Santa Clara- MSF,
I would like to attend any of the programs above. I know that the TNA's website is a invaluable resource, but since i am an international student, there maybe some differences. For example, a student at Maryland told me that although their average is 650ish, every Chinese student who got in has a 700+GMAT.
So i am wondering if i got any chances to get in any programs i have mentioned, or are there any other good choices works for me?
I do not have any works experience, that's the reason i want one more year graduate study. There is an internship in an insurance corporation in China for 2 months when i was a sophomore, does not worth to talk about since it was in human department.
I am interest in Corporation Finance, would like a F500 financial role.
The location does not matter to me. Currently, i am working on the essay, and study the GMAT, i think i can get at least 700, and 2 letters from EC professors.
Overall, i am not an excellent student, but want this MSF. so please, any advises help! Thanks in advance.
