Back to office - Makeup routine

Can’t rely on the retouch filter on Zoom anymore. I look like a potato with no makeup. All my makeup products were bought for going out lol. Anyone want to share their makeup routine or any products they recommend for everyday wear?

What I own currently:

Face makeup - Hangover RX primer, Armani’s luminous silk foundation, Charlotte tilbury bronze and glow, benefit Georgia blush

Eye makeup - I have lash extensions. For eyeshadow, I use anastasia’s soft glam II or the matte palette from makeup by Mario. For eyebrows I use Anastasia’s brow pencil

Lip makeup - Charlotte tilbury pillow talk liner and lipstick

Female here. Thought I might share my everyday makeup routine for the office. Usually if I am not meeting any clients or going to dinners then I’ll opt out for a light foundation and makeup look.

Everyday Face Makeup Look - CoverGirl Skin Milk Foundation, NARS Radiant Concealer, Hourglass Ambient Blush, and Charlotte Tilbury Bronzer.

Eye Makeup: Dior Backstage Eyeshadow Palette (Amber Neutrals) and Anastasia Brow Definer.

Lips: Clinique Black Honey Lipstick.

Omg I love eyelash extensions! But how do you maintain them? They seem pretty time consuming and annoying to brush out after washing each time... and not to mention, a huge wallet sink.

I love lash extensions too! I started getting them in 2020 (unbelievably) but haven't gotten them since starting my current job. :(

I dropped down to doing lipstick and mascara when COVID started. That said, I'm still technically virtual and not very many of my colleagues go into the office, but that may change very soon since RTO is this Monday for me as well.

Me too love the extensions but i quit them as it as taking long to lay down there for hours, and then worry about the dwindling lashes as time reached the point it was due for a refill haha...now i do lash lifts and put mascara..almost the same effect as a classic/1D type of extension but of course not as glamorous... :(

Exactly! Before my current job, I used to block out time for nails/lashes/hair etc. every two to four weeks and just book everything back-to-back, a sort of self-care morning at least once a month. Glamorous would be an apt description of how I used to feel lol! Mascara alone definitely doesn't do what my classics (1D) used to do, since I don't have that time anymore either. I really can hardly fathom just how luxuriously I lived back then. Literally impossible to do something like that now.

How are the lash lifts treating you?? I don't know a ton about them; do they take a long time to do?

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Face - La Roche-Posay tinted sunscreen and Armani's luminous silk concealer as needed

Eyes- Great Lash Mascara, if I'm really trying for some reason I'll add Kat Von D's tattoo liner in brown, super thin

Lips- L'occitane chapstick, if I'm really trying for some reason the tinted one

I keep Nanoblur and blotting pads in my purse in case my skin gets oily throughout the day, if it's hot out sometimes I'll put nano blur on over sunscreen + concealer
