Back worse off than when I started - Need Direction/Advice
So I got screwed out of an offer with an IB on Thursday. I had my whole life planned around this role, had already quit my old job but kept getting my start date pushed back. Then they fucked me. You can PM me for more information or read my previous thread. Now I am back on the job market, jobless, and not really sure where to start. My passion is for ER (which is what this position was for), but at this point I am willing to take about anything since I have 0 income.
For a little background, I currently reside in one of the largest cities in the Southeast US (unable to relocate). My previous position was as an Investment Analyst with a SFR Real Estate firm. I am 7 months out of college. I went to a shitty school, finance degree, and basically had no internship. I just sat for CFA L1 and am fairly confident I passed. I do have multiple financial writing samples that (so I've been told) are pretty damn good. I know how to model (DCF, DDM, IFS, etc.), and am comfortable with BBRG and TRE. I am also in the process of completing the ILTS analyst course.
Thus far I have applied to every single job opening in the city and most nearby. My current count is at 92 applications sent out for positions ranging from temp staff accountant to IB analyst. However I feel like I can do something else/more to increase my chances or find an avenue to apply more places. I just do not know what that is, and that is why I need advice. Any and all input will be much appreciated.
