Background Check Help! Unable to Verify
Would greatly appreciate any inputs - so HireRight cannot verify an unpaid internship I did 5 years ago. I didn't save a copy of offer letter then, nor asked a verification/reference letter in the past. I have not been able to get in touch with whom I have worked with back then, because they have left the firm. No one currently at the firm can verify for me. But I have some email communications during the internship... I am extremely worried now, will I fail the background check? Anyone has been in a similar situation?? Please help

Is this based on the resume you applied with or did they ask you to submit an updated one if you dont mind me asking

Anyway it's probably not a big deal. I wouldn't send over your emails as they could be confidential (even if there's no sensitive info in them). I would reach out to HR and explain the situation and see what they say. I doubt they'll care since it sounds like it's something you did in high school.
