Background check issue-offer rescinded?
So I signed with an EB/and will be undergoing the background check process soon. During freshman year, I was charged with a violation of the School's code of conduct for unauthorized collaboration during a lab. It was a one-time mistake and I learnt my lesson with a slap on the wrist. Unfortunately, the misconduct was noted on my School's Internal record as a disciplinary warning. I wanted to know if this would come up during the background check process and whether it would result in my offer being rescinded. The school's disciplinary record is not disclosed to third parties without an official written request by the student involved. How deep are these background checks and if HR were to find out, what would be the possible implications.
