HireRight process
Has anybody been through this background check after they have received an offer? They ask for quite an extensive background history and I was wondering how particular they are with respect to specific dates, how long the overall process takes, etc. Also, when/if they contact your previous employer, are they confidential with respect to which bank they are representing?
Would like to know too
anybody?
Going through it now. I'm guessing you're further along. How is it?
Would like to know as well. Anyone done with the process and know how long this part takes?
I just went through this. For me, they did not ask for too much detailed information or specific dates. Just previous employers, address, have you been arrested etc. I don't know if / how they contacted employers, but I heard nothing about it. I just submitted the short form online and heard that I passed the background check after 2 days. I highly doubt they would mention which employer they are representing when they conduct the background check.
It is definitely possible that the intensity of the background check questions varies based on the preferences of the employer.
I didn't have a problem with it, but i've heard of people who have. Mailing in pay-stubs, waiting a few weeks, etc. It seems like a crapshoot. I guess if you are in all the databases they have access to, you can probably sail right through.
OP, I recently had to do a Hireright for Baird. I asked for a copy on myself. It came back clean. It was very, very comprehensive. It requested police records from every place I've ever lived from birth through college through grad school to now.
Long story short, I had a wrongful arrest (misdemeanor for being under the influence of alcohol in public) in my early/mid 20s. It was incredibly stupid and it was my fault for being with the person who was ultimately at fault. My record got expunged, arrest records destroyed (including fingerprints), and my lawyer cleaned up the whole thing. I was worried that something would come up during my hireright background check. Nothing came up. I called the police station that I was taken into and they said they had no record of my arrest.
I would advise, however, that the FBI can be incredibly slow in updating information after an arrest. I never got to the point of fingerprinting, so I have no idea whether or not that would show up. But I've been advised I can say I've never been arrested in a job interview.
Hope that helps.
If it was expunged, is it still traceable?
Is that a question or a statement?
Background check with HireRight (Originally Posted: 11/07/2017)
Does someone have any experience with HireRight? Heard they are very difficult to deal with.
They have like pages after pages of info they ask for, and I read really bad reviews online where they screwed people over because of their sheer incompetence.
Hey jcpc, I'm here to break the silence...any of these links help you?:
More suggestions...
Hope that helps.
My company used HireRight and I thought it was really simple to be honest. Just needed to get background checked and get a fingerprint. The background check results came back within a week. Nothing too confusing or pages worth of disclosures.
