Just curious to know what happens to a sales person reputation if they give a bad trade idea to a client. Is it fixable? Is this a measurement of success in the business?

Are you new to sales?
No one gives a fuck about a sales person's idea. I would know I used to be an EQD sales.

Haha, Disjoint is on point. There are very few sales people to who buyside clients truly listen to. For example I have seen a small handful of sales make the jump from Sales on Sellside to analyst on buyside, thats how good they were in terms of idea generation, but that is VERY rare to see.

Yep, new to sales. Currently interviewing for FICC sales position. Worked with the products before but not from a sales aspect.
