Balancing Social and Academic Life In University
Starting off, I'm going to be attending a target this coming fall and I'm quite excited to be honest. I'm ready to soak in all the new experiences university has to offer me and whether that is new people, parties, the girls, or sports and academic clubs (finance clubs), I'm excited to say the least. Yet with all this approaching, I've never wanted to lose sight of what I came to obtain here in the first place: a IB or PE position at a prominent firm (EBs or BBs) and eventually go on to HF. At the same time, I don't want to miss out on the experience of university and not be so consumed with academics. I want to drink, smoke, and bang as many bitches while gunning for that top 10% for OCR. But often times, I always find that no one and I mean absolutely no one seems to master this time management skill as effectively. Any tips? In HS, I'm in the top 5% to say the least and I manage my social-life pretty effectively, but in University I want to absorb as much "fun" I can. Any tips? I have my eyes on the ball, but I don't want to be that fucking nerd that jacks off to his finance textbook on a Friday night. In the long-run I know that having a bunch of these experiences will benefit you in particular with finance, as it has a fast-paced social scene.
Furthermore, I've realized that not everyone is likable in terms of being a fucking "bro". Everyone's a fucking poser now a days and it drives me nuts that I have to talk to these individuals. Whether it's the party scene or your classmate who just heard "investment banking" from Wolf of Wallstreet, they're just a bunch of losers. So I ask this, how do you contain these types of people? Like the rage that goes through my head is immeasurable.

I can relate to dealing with guys in school who are genuine losers. I don't feel rage about them, I have in the past though, but now I usually just cringe, The way I deal with it is kind of weird, I just think well I'd hate it if that guy was my dad or something along those lines that links the long term perspective in.
Also unless its a group task you don't have to jack shit to those people, and if you hang with people who piss you off it is probably best to think about hanging with different people. Life is too short to be with people you don't like
