Baller trading groups at GS/MS

What are the likely most baller trading groups right now at Goldman and Morgan - in both equities and fixed income (but particularly in equities)?

Baller meaning 1) most sought after skill-set to start fund/etc, 2) best opportunity to start a fund, 3) best exit opportunities into buy-side, or 4) just highest earnings potential.

Understand this is a very broad question but just very curious about this. Thanks!

This is a silly question - being part of any particular group is not going to massively impact your chances of success. You get baller traders in every single division, in every single bank that can go on and found super tight hedge funds. Especially at Goldman, there are baller traders in every single group, and it all depends on your personal preference and ability. On the buy-side, there are hugely successful funds in any given asset class which try to recruit traders from relevant teams at GS/MS. Ultimately, try to get into a prop group if you can, but apart from that I don't see a quantifiable edge in being in one group over the other to end up as a badass hedge fund manager. Also, don't forget that GS/MS flow traders take on massive prop risks aswell, so if you're good that will get spotted very quickly.
