BAML PWM vs MM IB
BAML PWM is in NYC, part time, unpaid and the MM is local (big city), full time, paid. Is it worth getting the brand name in this case?
I am currently a sophomore at a semi target, with aspirations of working at a BB one day

Do you want to work in banking at the BB? If so, I would opt for the MM opportunity (assume it's in banking).
sorry, yes, I do want to work in banking. The MM job would also be in banking. Thanks!
If you want IB then you go with the MM.
Definitely MM choice. The experience will help your chance for a BB next year.
Definitely MM firm
I did BAML PWM for a Summer. If you want to do banking, go for the MM position, hands down. The PWM internship is actually kinda bullshit most of the time. Our intern group went out of our way to do side projects worth putting on our resume.
This is fucking retarded. Why would anyone choose unpaid PWM vs paid MM IBD??
Someone needs to put this stuff in the FAQ section.
All you sophomores and juniors: Relevant FO position > Name-Brand PWM, AM, Janitorial staff or make-my-coffee positions.
I don't give a fuck if you worked at GS PWM. Show me that you are interested in this business and not just the perceived glamor.
Hey I have offers for GS IBD and Northwestern Mutual, I definitely want to work in ibd. Which should I choose? I realize it's ibd, but I feel like the Northwestern Mutual brand name will get me great fall ibd looks (like RBS!)
