Does anyone have knowledge of either of these two programs? I have received internship offers for both, but I'm wondering if anyone knows which has a better career path and how the salaries compare. The FMAP Finance Management Associate Program places you in one of the CFO groups (fin, acct, treas) while the GMOMO is supportive of the investment bankers and deals with securities and their risk management, FX management, and client services. FMAP is a far better opportunity in my opinion. Be careful about Middle Office work, you can be dangerously pigeon-holed into a stress testing role and it will be very difficult to get out of that and rebranded as a front office guy if you eventually want to go down that route. FMAP on the other hand, you do financial planning and accounting related stuff. This is fundamental business skill that can be easily leveraged into getting an equity research / strategy role. Just network right, you might not even go to business school.
