Not really a story as much as an observation: dudes who hand out business cards at bars are the worst. Also for some reason it’s always analysts at Evercore (they do have some nice cards tho)
The best stories of Frankfurt banker always begin with "So, we went to the Moseleck after work and things got out of hand..." If you don´t know Frankfurt, the Moseleck is a very, very old and very piece-of-shit dive bar in the city, between main station and the Taunusallee where most of the financial action is placed. This quarter is all at once home to very beautiful old buildings of historical importance, the red light district and mosques under observation by the state security. You can probably imagine the kind of good old fashioned debauchery a horde of fresh-faced 23 year olds high on their ego and sexual frustration might instigate in such a wonderful place, and the Moseleck, was the shittiest, awesomest, proudest place to get fucked up in there.
Always love the classic stories about interns getting wasted at company sponsored open bars. Got to experience it first hand last summer too.
i recall one spring after a good bonus season...the trading desk went to Roberts for dinner with the brokers (the steakhouse inside the Hustler club on 45th and 11th)
kobe steak and lobster for everybody...naked shot girls saw $$ and poured all night then the private room stacked full with 8 traders, 12 strippers, and a cereal bowl full of coke flying around like baking flour.
