Banking as a career and a side hustle at the same time?

Does anyone here have experience doing anything "banking" wise as a side hustle? Along the lines of, maybe you use to be in banking, switched careers, but then did some type of banking side hustle on a lower level. For example, maybe you went from research to consulting, or total out like teaching, but run a website/newsletter where you basically cover 3 stocks.

I was preliminary thinking of stuff I could do, does anyone think it would be possible to have a career in consulting but also do wealth management on the side, or would it be too hard to build a book. It stemmed from thinking of maybe becoming a PGA pro and giving like 2 lessons a week, to build to something when I retire, but thought, if I have to put effort into that I could maybe flip it around in financial advising.

I suppose what you're describing would be possible, but the licensing requirements and everything else you'd need to do just to get off the ground (even for a part time approach) would probably not make it worth it. Plus, with the roles you're describing, and being independent, fundraising is a complete PITA and now you also want to tell people (or required to disclose), "by the way, this is just my side hustle" - forget it, fundraising will be near impossible.
