BB IBD vs Multi-Strat HF out of university (London)
Interned this summer in IBD at a mid-tier BB in London and received an offer for a FT role next year. I was also recently asked by a top Multi-Strat HF to apply for their Analyst role.
My aim at the beginning of my career is to build a broad base and to learn as much as possible. I'm interested in business and the markets, so I'm willing to keep options open for both PE and HF later down the line. Am I being crazy to not go for the HF Analyst role?
.
Would go for HF role 100% especially if this is the likes of Citadel, Millennium, P72
Can confirm that it is one of the names listed. What do you think of the previous poster's concerns of pigeonholing and lack of job security at one of these shops?
Do you really want to spend a year at UBS ER before starting?
wouldn't be a concern at those places, only for much smaller/worse funds
have 2 friends at millennium who get contacted all the time for other ops but also love the culture. pay there is also v high
let me guess, dartmouth sent you an email asking you to apply to millennium. don't worry, everyone got sent that spam. "asked" lol
Someone had to say it +sb
