I had a phone interview scheduled earlier today and the interviewer did not call. He previously had to change the time because something came up so I think he was busy and forgot about it. How should I handle the situation to not come across as pushy while keeping a dialogue.

Do you really want this position? If so, email the interviewer and ask to reschedule. If not, I would move on. Professional courtesy extends both ways, and forgetting about a call with no "I have to reschedule" email is rude and unprofessional.

Shit happens, man. Hard to believe when you are on the receiving end, but people sometimes do forget stuff when they are busy.
Kosher way is for the interviewer to apologize and reschedule. But if not, you should send an email and reschedule. If you don't send an email, you will die thinking over "why didn't I" and "what if".
If the interviewer doesn't respond, then you should move on - no need to be clingy.
just email the interviewer or hr, if you do nothing then you will come across as not interested in the position.
BB SA Phone Screen No-show? (Originally Posted: 10/18/2017)
I received an email asking for confirmation for times available for a phone screening (interviewer suggested times they themselves were available). So I replied telling the times I was available (basically the entire time block they had availability) but heard no response. The time that they suggested and I confirmed came around but I received no call.
I'm just asking if this is normal, because I'm a little bewildered. Is it possible that there was some sort of miscommunication or that I could have done something wrong? I really have no idea what to make of this.
Seems like a communication issue - would assume your email confirming the time got lost in somebody's inbox
completely irrelevant to your situation but I had a 1st round phone interview and when I called the Analyst the conversation went like this
"Hi this is John Smith"
"Hi, um did we have a call scheduled?"
"Yeah we set it up last Thursday afternoon via email"
"...and what was the call for?"
"My 1st round interview for the sophomore investment banking internship program"
"oh fuck"
Did he do the interview with you then ?
Yup, this happens. This happened to me during recruiting last fall. Just reach out to your recruiter and explain what happened and if they'd be able to reschedule since you're still super interested in the position.
