BB Technology Sophomore Internship - how to move forward?

I'm an incoming junior CS + math/econ minor at a low-mid semi target (albeit top CS) public, and I'm worried I made a mistake accepting my current (sophomore summer) internship at a BB, seeing as my goal is front office finance. The internship is part of their summer technology analyst program, which is essentially software development with little to no exposure to financial markets. Pretty much everyone in my office comes from MSFT/Google etc. and knows nothing about finance so networking is not super easy, especially being in a west coast location.

That all said, my particular technology department is getting a TON of investment from the firm so the work is challenging and cutting edge, the people are smart and from great schools, and the comp is absolutely insane - this is why I took the job. But I've started to realize that most people here are pigeon-holed into tech roles and it may be hard for me to break into the FO, especially with my previous two internships at tech startups.

What should be my strategy moving forward from this to reach my junior summer goals? I'm not dead set on IB, really anything in IB, HF, PE, quant research, etc would be ideal. Would my current gig be seen as "back office" by bankers since it's tech at a BB, despite the prestige of the particular dept? Should I network within the firm to try to get FO next summer, or should I focus most of my effort on FO at other firms? Am I completely screwed? Staying in tech isn't really an option - despite the perks, programming is boring and the culture sucks.

Thanks. GPA is 3.65 btw.

The name on of BB on your resume will already put you miles ahead many other applicants to SA 2020. Networking within and outside the firm shouldn't be a problem as I know a lot of major BB IBDs have large operations on the west coast. TMT groups might be really happy to hire people with actual tech experience so you should be no where near screwed.
