BBA from non/semi-target vs Econ from a target
Is better to go to a non-target like the university of Georgia, or an Econ degree from Umich/UVA? I'm aware that it's a lot easier if you're in Ross and Mcintire, but I'm interested to see how difficult it is to break into IBD through their respective econ programs. The general consensus on WSO is that LSA recruiting for Umich sucks, but that may have changed in the recent years. I'm not so sure about UVA.
Econ at UVA and go for their undergrad b-school after sophomore year. Non-target BBA won't get you far on it's own, you'll get less exposure to recruitment meaning you'll have to make it up with networking.
UGA has actually been ramping up their BB recruiting. Look up the Corsair Society. That being said, I've heard from friends that it is not too difficult to get into the business schools of UMich and UVA, which are both much better options than UGA.
