Time was an issue and I really would have liked to have been in person and ask questions.

I'd give a couple pieces of advice -- think about this as the most interviewer-led case in the world; no follow up, no clarification, etc. So I'd become comfortable in that ambiguity and learn how to drive insights from there. Also, not that you can really prepare for this, but work as quickly as possible. It will say question X of Y questions while you take it, but there are follow ups to some that added considerable amounts of time. So just keep your foot on the gas the whole time and that should help out vis-a-vis time.

Happy to report that I got an offer despite bombing the online case so there’s still hope if you don’t do well on the online case!
General comment - in consulting (and yes in cases), there are rarely (possibly none but that's extreme) right answers. They are looking to get a great sense of your thought process and your communication skills. That's what's important. Can they put you in front of a client? Will you be able to drill down through all the noise and communicate the issues and potential solutions.
That is a super fair general comment, but unfortunately in the BCG online case there are right and wrong answers. It's multiple choice throughout most of it.
Recently came across a blog post related to the BCG online case interview chatbot, "Know thy enemy: Understanding the BCG case interview chatbot" (you may Google search it). I have tried the free online case interview demo and it was pretty good! Hope this helps (if it's still relevant to you)!
Hi there, the new "BCG Online Case Experience" is still a novel assessment format, and my tips may come too late for the OP (sorry for that!), but for anybody else who needs to crack the BCG Online Case, I maybe have a life-saver to offer: I have recently created a >30 min video explainer in which I break down what to expect from the Casey chatbot interview and how to prepare for the BCG Online Case most effectively. I have even managed to dig out some links to free Casey practice tests out there that I hope remain valid for as long as possible...
