good job on being able to secure another offer this late in the game. I dont know much about Key's IBD. they recruit at my school (top 20 semi target) but apart from that I'm clueless. They seem to be quite organized though. Ive been getting emails over the past 2 months regarding a recruiting event on campus in the fall.

This probably doesn't help much, but I just met a guy who works there. I think he was a VP, anyways, he was a really nice guy and seemed to know his stuff. He had good things to say about the place and it seemed like his office was doing well and growing. This is the only person I know who works there, so thats all I got.

Which office will you be in?

I know a lot of guys in the Cleveland office, and also interviewed/got a SA offer, so I know a decent amount about the IB place.

My personal view is that the people there are really nice, and definitley motivated. That said, from interviewing (compared to BB/MM banks in NY) and knowing some of the people there, I felt that a good portion of them were not that competent, and that they could really be doing a better job of picking their analysts. I'm not trying to sound like an a-hole, but everyone I know who has interned there, felt the same way and did not go back.

However, if you were able to get a BSC offer, then I don't think you should have a problem for FT. I know two guys who interned at Key, and are now at LEH and JPM in strong groups in the IBD (both recent grads, also from real non-target).

Key thing is to get good experience, and try to work on any live deals if you can (I know they do a lottt of pitching), and focus on getting some modeling. The people there are really down to earth, although I couldnt stand some of the analysts.

PM if you need more help
