Beard as an Intern

I'm currently in recruitment season for a winter IB internship, and really don't want to get rid of my beard as my face looks substantially better with it. I maintain it fairly regularly (see picture to get an idea of how it looks) and have held other related finance roles at banks with a beard (not banking).

So far I have been networking with individuals at the analyst level all the way to directors and recruiters who have been giving me positive feedback to expect interviews, but I was wondering if its completely necessary to shave it off for the actual interview.

Don't think people will care if you have a beard as long as you come across as intelligent/hardworking during the interview. Doesn't seem like a big deal to me...

Thanks Sully, I've heard it could be an automatic ding (particularly at more conservative banks) but I wanted to get some more insight as banks may be more openminded about facial hair now. I'd appreciate any additional insight from you guys on the forum.

Just shave it for the interview in the rare case you get a super conservative interviewer. Wouldn't worry about it once you have the offer though. You're probably overthinking this imo

I’ve had my beard throughout networking, interviewing, internship and now full time at BB’s. They don’t care any more as long as it’s always maintained well.
