If an incoming analyst has ~6 months free time what should he/she focus on developing in terms of skills to add value going forward? Should we develop skills such as...
- overall investment process/thinking
- geospatial analysis
- coding (python/R/VBA)
- understanding of macro trends to discover
new investment theses
- reading about other industries to understand
how our customers (tenants) are changing
- reading about and gaining understanding
about emerging
markets
- etc....
What would you recommend a young person in this industry focus on learning that will set them apart going forward?
