Berenberg Now

seen very little on Berenberg in these forums. They seem to have increased share in ER post MIFID II and at least in Europe doing well in ECM. Any opinions on their future outlook and the quality of their er? Also how good are the exit ops to HF/AM gigs?

Very strong in London as an ER house, you'll find most buy-side firms use them as one of their brokers so you'd have no trouble recruiting for HF/AM gigs as long as you're in a reputable team

Pretty sure the guy above works at Berenberg. I've been on sell side ER and now at a HF and Berenberg on both sides is seen as a bit of a joke. Their primary goal is to win banking business and ER is another for them to do that.

Their increased market share is because they are throwing money at a declining industry.

Their work is very good IMO.
