Best bank/stock broker in the UK?
I'm currently using Revolut for everyday purchases but I don't trust neo-banks/apps and would like to set up an account with a good ol' bank on which I could put larger sums without worrying. What would you recommend? Is Lloyds good?
I'd also like to put some money into stocks and ETFs. It looks like Lloyds (for instance) would make me pay £11 per trade which appears insanely high. Do cheaper solutions exist?
Thanks for your help!

They are good, have excellent service (UK based relationship advisor calls frequently, native English speaker)
US equities are free of fees if you have a minimum of three trades within the last 30 days. However, they do charge a .5% FX fee each way.
Vanguard is probably the cheapest broker, IG has the best range of choice while still having reasonable fees. I don't think any of the other brokers are good, either they are too expensive (Hargreaves Lansdown) or lack choice (Pretty much all of the banks).
Interactive Brokers is the most powerful platform but has a terrible interface, would avoid them unless you want to trade something sophisticated or niche that other brokers don't provide. (e.g. options, futures).
