There's no way this thread was meant to be taken literally. I think patek's post is hilarious. He's right, people on this forum debate some of the dumbest things when it comes to breaking into ibanking. Wouldn't be surprised to see more questions like:

What kind of pen should I use as an analyst if I want to maximize my chance of being promoted to associate? (response: the lowest end version of your VP's favorite brand, but only for special occasions and only in silver, not gold trim.)

Should I comb my hair to the left or to the right during my SA ibd interviews? How would this affect my group placement if I then get a FT offer? Would it be the same for Cap Markets? Gel or natural?
