Best City to Live in South Bay

My office is in Menlo Park - what’s the best place to live in the area? Not sure how Redwood vs Menlo vs Palo Alto vs Mountain View vs San Mateo compare and where most people tend to live. Would prefer an area with good food nearby. Specific apartments recommendations are helpful too!

Also does it make more sense to Uber to work or buy a car? Parking spots seem very expensive in the Bay Area

Is this real? Is the commute actually manageable? I can’t imagine making that drive home at 2am when all I want to do is crash on my bed

I know all those areas well, depends on what you looking for after work. Most of these places are nice, Mountainview full of Google people, redwood shores better than Redwood full of Oracle people. Palo alto full of Stanford people. San Mateo closer to the San Carlos area about right, burlingame too cold.

SafariJoe, wins again!

Which would you recommend? Not sure whether full of Google/Oracle/Stanford people is good or bad
