Best consumer investors?

Hi guys:

I've recently started in banking and I'm looking for more information on consumer related PE funds (or other consumer related investors). I have been reading about deals online, but I'm curious on which funds (PE funds, or those that use a buy-and-hold long-term approach to public markets) you think are really smart at doing consumer and retail please?

Here's what I have from my research:
- Ares, Leonard Green, Advent, Bain have done a lot of deals, but some deals have been troubled of late
- 3G
- I'm not sure who the really smart public investors in consumer & retail are - I would guess Buffet would count as one?

I don't have access to fund return data, so really just hoping to learn more from those who participate in the market on who are some smart and interesting funds / investors to watch please?

Thank you!
