Best ETFs
Hey! I’m in high school and I just earned ~3000$. I’d like to invest this money in ETFs instead of letting it sit on a bank account....Which are, according to you, the best ETFs out there? I’d like to spend half the money on a risky ETF and the other half on a stable ETF...
Or maybe other stuff to invest in? I’m open to new ideas. But ETFs sound like they are not time-consuming
UVXY
Whichever charges the lowest fees.
I like QUAL. Tends to outperform SP although it hasn't been around for full cycle so that may change.
XOM has been hammered recently and seems cheap
VOO - 100% Honestly I wished I didn't think about it too much when I was in college - dollar neutral this etf and just ride it out long term. Just track the S&P and get on that passive investing hype train.
Also keep in mind, the S&P rebalances quarterly - so all the bad companies are dropped in replace of a good one (whatever the methodology they use). So you get a free "active management" on just tracking the S&P.
Trying to beat the market is pointless -
VTI + VXUS (85% and 15% respectively)...
VXUS? Why take that? High risk high reward?
