Best IBD to lateral with no previous IB experience

Title is pretty self-explanatory. I’ve been trying to break into an IB Analyst position from a consulting background (0-1 years at my FT role). I would prefer to work in either M&A or a TMT or Consumer coverage group, but I’m very open about this search. What banks are friendly to laterals with no previous experience in the industry? Also, what should I be focusing on, aside from nailing modeling?

learn everything in the WSO technical interview guide and apply to every opening you see...even if it is at a place/in a group you aren't super pumped about, it is a lot easier to move within IB from the inside, rather than from the outside. Plus, you may never get to where you really want to be, so you may have to settle for whatever IB opportunity comes your way.
