best path for being a financial analyst

I'm 30-year-old and most of my experience has been on retail (clothing), Also, I’m a real estate agent for the past 3 years and honestly don’t enjoy either of them, but It pays bills. At this point of my life, I realized that want to do what.
A year ago, I started helping a Peruvian company (ex employer) into getting a financing for a big project($$8 digits)Honestly, no experience at all (just being I’m bilingual) I started sending email and making phone calls I found the guy that could help us, after hundreds of meeting and conference call we are in the last step to finalize this project. After that experience, I realized that I wasn’t in the right track in my career. I don’t want to continue working in something that I don’t have passion for instead, I want to do what I enjoy that happen to be a job. Is not what you thinking,MONEY. I think I have enough a house and a car.it just that I don’t enjoy my job anymore.(Please!! don't tell my boss)

I want to become a Financial Analyst and discover what that world can offer me. I studied economics 3 years back home, Peru. Now, I went back to School since I finally have my permanent resident. Unfortunately, it’s like starting again since my school(UMUC) don’t validate many credits that I took abroad. This time, I chose to study Finance.
I realized that I must get involve more in my Finance industry if I wanted to follow my goal.
Any advice how can I start. Maybe, get a job that help me to build skill or experience to land financial analyst job. I have some ideas below. Feel free to criticize and give extra advise specially if you are in the industry.

-I was planning to work for a bank and then move to other departments? what position should I apply (definitely not teller)
-I started studying financial modeling on my own, mastering my excel skill.
-Use my Real estate experience to get into a reit company? Not idea what to look for.
-Wait 3 years to get my underg and then apply to jobs? (sounds too lonnnnngggg)
- Seduce a portfolio manager to get a job? not much game left after 4 years marriage.
-You were thinking about internship, right? Keep in mind that I have a family to feed, so internship is difficult to get specially if they don’t pay enough to pay bills.
Strengths that I have, I’m good with number and love to learn. I’ve being investing in stock for 2 years without losing money. And soon going to open an online store that sell handmade Italian ties. weakness, I feel I'm doing many things at the same time and its not taking me where I want to go.
